Sciatica
What is Sciatica?
Sciatica (pronounced sy-at-ic-uh) is, in essence, pain that occurs along the sciatic nerve (reaches from the lower back all the way down). The pain does not have to occur on both sides and often occurs on a single side.
Sciatica can result from various issues, including:
- Pregnancy
- Herniated Disc
- Bone Spurs
- Spinal Stenosis
Often this problem manifests itself in a pins and needles sensation, which may cause numbness, inflammation, or pain. If any of these back sensations are present, it may be best to visit a physician.
